Vision Impure is a dance company committed to creating a body of work that begins with the personal and extends these ideas both outwards and inwards, with the intention of transcending what is immanently apparent and at hand. Working from an ambition to create novel expressions, and indelible experiences in its audiences, its works strive to locate a sense of conscience and hope through intense physicality and deeply sought courage.

Founded in 2006 as a satellite company of The Holy Body Tattoo, Vision Impure is a vehicle for the independent work of choreographer and dancer Noam Gagnon.  Vision Impure has produced such works as This Crazy Show, 10 Things You’ll Hate About Me and The Vision Impure, featuring choreography by Nigel Charnock and Daniel Léveillé. For his performance in The Vision Impure, Noam was honoured with The Isadora Award for Excellence.

Vision Impure acknowledges that the land on which we work and create is the unceded territory of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations.
